In 25 years in the construction business, we have grown frustrated by the lack of access to large quantities of surplus and seconds product. These materials can be ideal for projects like crating, ceilings, shop liners, and depending on the product, roofing, flooring, and framing if uncertified product is permissible. These materials are often sold at significant discounts. But traditionally, these materials are only available at the whim of local discount distributors. We founded Rhizome with the mission to make surplus and seconds product available to builders, delivered directly to your site.

We accomplish this by partnering with manufacturers, distributors, and trucking companies to arrange direct to site shipping for our end purchasers. This allows us to deliver surplus and seconds savings with the increased flexibility of partial load purchasing.
